Teach Us to Pray

Jesus' disciples observed the vibrant and connected life with God that Jesus lived, a life clearly fueled by his times spent in prayer. Inspired by what they witnessed, they asked, "Lord, teach us to pray." What we now call the Lord's Prayer was Jesus' response, offered as a template for prayer to his first disciples. Perhaps you learned the Lord's Prayer in your youth, or perhaps you've prayed it occasionally before a sporting event, or maybe you have no prior experience with prayer at all.
