Summer Studies is a June and July rhythm of smaller,
focused gatherings where men and women can grow in meaningful areas of discipleship.

Each study is facilitator-led and designed to cultivate intentional spiritual formation and meaningful connection during the summer season. Most studies are gender-specific, vary in length and format, and are open to anyone who would like to participate.Whether you’re new to Redeemer or ready to grow in a specific area, Summer Studies offers a simple way to step in.

6 studies: 2 men, 2 women, 1 mixed, 1 student

Men's Study

Length and time: 6-8 weeks | Fridays, 7:30 to 8:45 AM
Dates: 6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 7/10, 7/17, and 7/24
Location: Instill Coffee
Description: The desire is to create a space to read the word of God aloud with each other and discuss what it has to offer and how it may be speaking to us in this current season of life. The book of Romans is so deep that it will be a voyage for young believers, as well for seasoned believers. Aside from reading the passage aloud, discussing the passage, and applying the word to our daily life, I really want to have a specific callout of theology since the Book of Romans is so rich and overflowing with it. I do not intend to be an all knowing teacher, but I want to open a space where we discuss and are exposed to theology.

Men's Study

Length and Time: 5 weeks | Thursdays, 7:30 PM
Dates: 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30
Location:  Clark Home, 2800 Joe DiMaggio Blvd. Unit 73
Round Rock, TX 78665
Description: A deeper study of 1 Peter will, Lord willing, impact our understanding of who we are in Jesus and how we are to live as exiles. This study will provide space for people to learn how to study the Bible for themselves. This can also serve as a training space for future leaders who want to learn how to do one-to-one Bible reading in their GCs to help create a discipling culture.

Women's Study

Length and Time: 7 Weeks | Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 PM
Dates: June 10-July 22
Location: Church Offices
Description: Throughout our lives, we experience countless periods of waiting. Whatever our current circumstances, our innate response is to take action rather than stay still. In this book, author Mark Vroegop calls believers to resist the human urge for control and lean on Christ for comfort while we wait for the uncertainties of life to unfold. By means of six important characteristics, Vroegop explores what it means to wait on God, and he teaches readers how to embrace waiting.

Women's Study

Length and time: 6 weeks | Wednesdays, 9:00 to 10:30 AM
Dates: 6/3, 6/17, 7/1, 7/15, 7/29, and 8/5
Location: Morales Home: 2961 St Federico Way, Round Rock, TX 78665
Description: John is considered to be the “Disciple whom Jesus loved”. He heard Jesus cry out his final words on the cross, and was given the vision of the seventh angel’s “it is done” in Revelation 16. When we cross examine each of John’s writings in Scripture, what are the key themes he is communicating to us? What can we learn from John to become closer friends to Jesus ourselves?

Teen Study (completed 6th grade-12th grade)

Length and Time: 7 weeks | Thursday, 12:00-1:15 PM
Dates: 6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 7/2, 7/9, 7/16, and 7/23
Location:  Redeemer Round Rock
Description: A study through the book by Jaquelle Crowe, This Changes Everything How the Gospel Transforms the Teen Years! It is easily accessible to students and parents, and it offers simplicity with easy options to “go deeper” through questions and Scripture passages in each chapter. For Redeemer families who are new to discipling their teen students, this resource provides an easy entry. Families who regularly engage in discipleship will also find that these chapters lend themselves to meaningful discussion with their student(s).

Mixed Study

Length and Time: 7 Weeks | Wednesdays 6:30 PM
Dates: 6/3, 6/10, 6/17. 6/24, 7/1, 7/8, and 7/15
Location: Redeemer Round Rock - Multi-Purpuse Room
Description: Many Christians carry unexamined assumptions about Heaven and Eternity — shaped by culture, media, and gaps in teaching — that leave the Eternal State feeling too abstract to think about, dream about, or let shape daily life. This class cuts through common points of debate to focus on the big, shared vision of what God is preparing: not a blank-slate restart, but the fullness of His presence and the complete realization of His purposes, including the deep meaning of human work and achievement. We'll explore how a richer, more tangible theology of Heaven transforms how we live, work, and process our life and death, today.
