Making Space for God
In the gospel, we are not only saved from sin but we are saved for God. Christianity is not just abstract truths about God we should believe. It’s an invitation into a real two-way relationship with the Triune God. The Christian life involves the living, felt presence of God in the here and now. This is why the Father sent the Son, and the Son sent the Spirit so that we can live in an abiding relationship with Him.
Yet, some have never been taught how to cultivate a relationship with God. Others have allowed the distractions of this digital age or the demands of work and family schedules to diminish their communion with God. Therefore, during the season of Lent, we want to learn (or relearn) how to cultivate a growing relationship with God.
Making Space is a series designed to equip the church to experience more of God. In this series, we will explore six tools (or means of grace) that will help you grow in your relationship with God in an age when we are bombarded with digital distractions, daily demands, and worldly desires. Along with each sermon, we will be encouraging a church-wide practice to help us apply what we learn.
