The Triumphal Entry

In Luke 19:28-40 Jesus and his disciples finally arrive in Jerusalem after a long journey. As he enters into the Holy City he is cheered and celebrated by the great crowds who are ready to crown him as their King. Yet Jesus makes it clear that he might not be the type of King they are expecting, he comes riding in on a young donkey— a picture of humility, a servant, Savior King.
