Warning Against Apostasy

As Christians in today's world, we can face a myriad of challenges in our life. For the believers in Hebrews, they were facing social pressures and physical persecution because of their faith in Jesus. In Hebrews 5:11-6:12, the author calls us to pay attention to what the external challenges we face reveal about our spiritual maturity or lack thereof. He calls us to grow up into maturity. We are to be continually growing in our knowledge and love of Christ so that when we face challenges in life, we will endure with great hope and assurance of God's love.
